Call for ideas: Tokyo vertical cemetery 

Abstract

Lot of cities associate their graveyard just with the horizontality of the soil, the ground. But no city more than Tokyo, could better associate also the verticality to the idea of a cemetery. SWA is the axis that links the earth with the sky, the alive with the dead, and in the same time maintains the planarity of garden. SWA is a landmark of the collective memory where the dimension of the dead reflect the dimension of the living, with the same heterogeneity of the city around it. A promenade that step by step brings visitors toward the highest truth: we are Skies Without Angles.
